GONGKWON YUSUL CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR COURSE

Brief
Our Gongkwon Yusul(GKYS) Certified Instructor Training Course is designed for martial artists with the passion and dedication to achieve the goal of becoming instructors. All certified instructors have undergone multiple levels of training at GKYS and understand the basic concepts, values, and beliefs of GKYS. They aspire to teach GKYS with an unwavering belief and passion in the system

Goals and Objectives
GKYS Certified Instructors help students understand the philosophy and history of GKYS and teach the skills they need to train safely. A GKYS Certified Instructor will:

  • Prepare lesson plans
  • Demonstrate warm ups, skills training, and physical conditioning
  • Coach students by breaking down techniques into simple moves
  • Develop individual training programs
  • Observe and assess students, and give them feedback on their progress
  • Develop and practice their own skills
  • Take responsibility for the health and safety of students as well as teaching safe training habits
  • Promote classes This role involves working with both adults and children, instructing them at an appropriate level.

Eligibility Requirements for becoming a GKYS Certified Instructor
In order to be accepted into the GKYS instructor training program you need a coaching qualification recognized by the Gongkwon Yusul USA for your own martial arts discipline.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Black belt in a martial art certified by a recognized and accepted organization OR Experienced instructor/trainer in an accepted martial arts field OR martial arts experience over 5 years in a recognized system
